Sleeping Snowman

Sleeping Snowman has a calm and gentle feel to it. The right hand should play very smoothly and lyrically so as not to wake the snowman. The key of G minor gives a slightly sad sound to the piece because we know he will eventually melt away.

Originally from the Faber Music publication Perpetual Motion, a collection of 10 evocative pieces written for young pianists to explore and enjoy, these pieces have been transcribed for marimba or vibraphone by Dame Evelyn Glennie with the intention of concentrating on musicality:
